NYC YARN CRAWL - Saturday October 8 - Tuesday October 11, 2022 - FOLLOW THE YARN
What is the NYC YARN CRAWL?
The NYC Yarn Crawl is an annual fall extravaganza where knitters, crocheters, spinners, dyers and fiber craft lovers of all kinds visit Manhattan and Brooklyn's finest local yarn shops to celebrate our community and love of fiber arts. With stores in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, crawlers visit a wonderful variety of neighborhoods across NYC, and with shops ranging from tiny jewels to needlework meccas, and there are new discoveries at every turn.
Your favorite shops are thrilled to welcome you to safely touch, squeeze and smell the latest yarns from your favorite dyers, check out the newest patterns, and savor the feeling of reconnecting with your best fiber friends.
In Brooklyn we'll have 2 week days and the weekend, so that all crawlers can experience a safe, fun and socially distanced event. To ensure your safety and that of the staff at each shop, we continue to follow CDC and New York State guidelines.
October 2022 dates are coming so, so remember to check back!
What is the BROOKLYN YARN CRAWL?
A mini-version of its older NYC sibling, the Brooklyn Yarn Crawl is a cosy, multi-day event each spring - just in time to sate your spring fever with new projects in all their cotton, linen, mohair and silky glory, along with all kinds of lightweight wools for your spring and summer projects.
For 2022, we're returning with plenty of time to smell, touch and squeeze your favorite yarns - in person! We'll be running for four days (two weekday, two weekend) so you can really take your time.
Everyone is welcome at the event where each shop hosts special events, guests and trunk shows, and you'll find exclusive items and discounts only available during the crawl. Anyone can enter to win amazing prizes from our generous sponsors.
We're following all the CDC guidelines so you can safely visit your friends at the four Brooklyn shops on the crawl; drool over the latest indie hand-dyed yarns; discover new patterns, maker tools and accessories; get amazing discounts, meet fellow fiber enthusiasts and friendly shop owners; and of course win prizes from our amazing sponsors.
Explore the biggest borough's diverse neighborhoods of Windsor Terrace, Park Slope, Red Hook and Cobble Hill. Along the way, stop at Brooklyn 's great restaurants for sips and eats, and show off your score!
